Overate during a feast? Had too much fatty and oily food? Suffering from heartburn?
Acid reflux is known as "heartburn" and is caused when the lower esophageal muscle or the esophageal sphincter does not close the way it actually should after we eat or drink. As a result, the contents of our stomach, which are an acidic mixture; flow back up into the easophagus or the food pipe. These stomach acids in esophagus causes a burning sensation in chest, throat and also leaves sour taste at the backside of the throat.
Raw honey has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties and other enzymes that produce small amounts of hydrogen peroxide which in turn relieves you from heartburn or indigestion.
An effective remedy is Honey with Cinnamon. Cinnamon has catechins that relieve nausea. It has soothing property that cures stomach irritation and treats nausea caused by indigestion, gastric or acid reflux problems.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 1 tablespoon of raw honey in 1 glass of warm water. Stir it well and drink this twice a day.
